Testosterone pellets for men in Miami Lakes

Testosterone pellets are an option for men with symptoms and low testosterone confirmed by lab work. I evaluate you in Miami Lakes and tell you clearly whether you qualify. Without lab work they are not indicated.

Symptoms of low testosterone

  • Lower sex drive or trouble with erections
  • Constant fatigue
  • Loss of strength and muscle mass
  • More body fat
  • Low mood or poor focus

These symptoms have many possible causes, such as poor sleep, diabetes, thyroid problems or some medications. That is why having them is not enough.

How low testosterone is confirmed

With blood tests drawn in the morning, usually repeated on another day. I also review other lab work and your medical history to look for the cause.

How pellets work in men

They are placed under the skin and release testosterone continuously for several months, without frequent injections or daily gel.

What to know before you decide

Testosterone can reduce fertility, so tell me if you want to have children. It can also increase red blood cells and cause acne or fluid retention, and it requires follow-up of your prostate and lab work. It is not a treatment for building muscle or for performance. Other options exist, such as injections and gels, and I explain them.

No energy, no drive and no idea why

Many men search "why am I so tired", "why did I lose my sex drive" or "why am I not getting stronger at the gym", and feel embarrassed to ask. Here we talk about it openly and in private. Sometimes it is low testosterone and sometimes it is something else that also needs care, like sleep, diabetes or the thyroid.

Who may be a candidate

  • Men with symptoms and low testosterone confirmed by lab work.
  • Men not looking to have children soon, or who have already discussed it with me.
  • Men with no contraindications, such as active prostate cancer.

When changes are noticed

It varies from man to man. We review it at your follow-up, with your symptoms and lab work.

Which lab tests are reviewed

I choose them based on your case. They may include estradiol, FSH, total and free testosterone, thyroid, blood count, glucose, cholesterol and liver function. In men I also review PSA, and in women your mammogram and Pap history.

How to prepare for your evaluation

  • Bring a list of your medications and supplements.
  • Bring recent lab work, if you have it.
  • Write down your symptoms and when they began.
  • Tell me your family history of cancer, blood clots or heart disease.

You do not need a referral to request your evaluation.

Your safety comes first. Pellets are placed only after my evaluation and your lab work, and not everyone is a candidate. Hormone pellets prepared by compounding pharmacies do not go through the FDA review that approved medications have. Like any hormone treatment they have risks and side effects, and other options exist. Results vary from person to person.

Frequently asked questions

How do I know if my testosterone is low?
